ISK Emma College in Heerlen was looking for a solution to create a sheltered outdoor space where students could stay both in sunny weather and during rainfall. An important requirement was that the canopy could easily be assembled and disassembled by the school itself. In addition, the design had to ensure that it would not invite climbing or hanging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a permit required?

It is always wise to check with your municipality whether specific regulations apply. However, in practice, due to its semi-permanent nature and the fact that the structure is not permanently fixed, we are allowed to proceed without a permit in most cases. We do not use concrete, but removable screw foundations.

Will the canopy hold up in storms?

The fabrics are designed to withstand winds up to 8 Beaufort (62–74 km/h).

What is the average lifespan?

The lifespan of a canopy depends on the environment in which it is installed. On average, a canvas lasts around ten years. If you would like a replacement canvas, you only pay for the fabric. The installed structure does not need to be replaced.

What is the warranty on a Mobuline canvas?

We offer a five-year warranty on both the canvas and the structure. This excludes damage caused by vandalism, snow load, or natural disasters.
