Events, sightlines and atmosphere: IntercityHotel Hoofddorp

Guests naturally gather on the terrace—a place to connect and enjoy the surroundings. With Mobuline, a sheltered area is created that offers comfort while preserving the open character of the location.

The solution

Due to the variation in height, sightlines remain clear, natural light is preserved, and the atmosphere stays intact. It provides optimal protection without creating an enclosed feel.

The design

Maintaining the view was a key starting point in the design. From the breakfast area, the view across the meadow remains uninterrupted, preserving the connection between indoors and outdoors. The two canopies form a subtle addition to the terrace—offering shelter where needed, while respecting both the space and the existing architecture.
